Anyone do this? It looks fun to me - wondering if anyone had any hints/tips?

What sort of water will you be on? I brought a 10'0 Naish Mana all rounder last year, it's fun in waves, ok on flat water. The build quality of Naish SUPs is poor, I know a few owners and all have had to repair them at some point.

Am buying a more wave riding orientated SUP from Matt Barker SUPs when it get a bit warmer, a friend has one and it's a thing of beauty and cheaper than the mainstream brands.

Probably flat/lake stuff rather than anything else. TBH I'd like to try it and see if it works for me....

Did a bit over the summer, be aware it's a good workout!! Any wind (even 5 mph) will make it much harder paddling into the wind. It's more a summer thing, boardshorts on, maybe a rash vest if the water is cold/sun is very strong, paddle out from a beach with everyone looking/asking questions, then paddle round to the next beach, catch a bit of swell/small waves going in. Great fun, best done at the beach on a hot summers day.
