So what is the likely outcome?
We have a few boyos at our club and they are by no means agreed on whether it will be a positive. Their arguments are confusing. The RFU lads seem to be supportive, suggesting it will help both the Welsh and English players and clubs in the medium and long term, but that it would require sensible management from the WRU and RFU. So that seems alright then.
I was talking to one Welsh, but playing in England, rugby player a year or so ago who was full of resentment against the WRU favouring players in Wales for internationals. He said that this had caused a lot of resentment and that the WRU 'would be sorry'.
