Now i have only ever ran one park run, Blackhill in Co durham, according to my Garmin this has 92m of climbing in the course.

I think its a tough course, also got a couple of very tight turns and a short muddy grass section.

Now which park runs are actually the hardest/harder?

One of the South African runs, might be Delta, is at a few thousand feet above sea level and climbs a few hundred metres.

A sharp, but short hill greets runners as they depart.... A pleasant run on firm sand.... Thereafter there is a fairly steep climb up steps into the nature reserve.... up to the historical Look Out, and down a testing path....takes the field to one last meaningful test: a sand dune up to the finish.

Looks like a wonderful place to run, probably scores 11/10 for scenery but the course record 18 mins, this weeks slowest runner took 1hr11 eek

What about the one in camp bastion? High temperatures, hostile locals, hard to get to?

Probably nowhere near the hardest, but the South Shields one can be a challenge battling along the coast : )

Bristol has about 90m elevation but it's an out and back course so you gain all that height in the first 2.5km. Sure you come back down that big hill quite quickly which is fun but also leaves you knackered at the end!

The AC Parkrun webpage says its more like 100m! I was chatting to a guy after last week and he said he thought it was probably the steepest in the UK.

I used to be a regular there but stopped as saturday mornings became my only opportunity for a long ride though to be fair i think i was helping out more often than running if i did go! it was good to be part of the first three months or so of parkrun at ashton court and the volunteers there are brilliant.

Alice Holt doesn't have a single flat section - it's all up or down in the South Downs. Though not the brutal climbs you'd see on coastal runs.
