What new gear will you be riding / wearing this coming snow season?

Here's mine:

Burton Process Flying V 2014

To be accompanied by Burton Cartel Restricted 2013 bindings and Burton Moto 2008 Boots.

Week booked in Meribel in Jan only at the moment but looking forward to it.

Keen to see what new gear people are picking up this season.

I'm still using last season's Salomon BBRs and Mrs Gecko is running Movement Gloss but I wll try and get a pic later.

A pair of Tecnica Demon 120, which replaced a 10 year old pair of Tecnica Icon's, that had become just a little too comfortable.

Bought a load of Peak Performance clothing, including gore-tex trousers, jackets, mids and base layers. Very well made, well fitting kit. An ace pair of Peak leather insulated gloves, ideal for early season skiing, was also added.

A new pair of Leki Carbon poles to replace the pair that someone decided to 'upgrade' at Moosewirt in St Anton. irked

Not sure what else I need!

new board for this season replaces my K2 WWW, I still have my APo selekta but that may go too to make way for something else.

Off to London this weekend to get a new lid and jacket as both got trashed last season.

I've booked rail and box course to try and get my mojo back after the fall.

So gnarly brah ! *internet fist bump*

Can't wait to try these bad boys. I had the shells heat fitted and added these awesomely snug zip fit cork liners with custom footbeds. They replace my faithful 7 year old X-wave 10's.
They are easily the best fitting boots I have ever had.

If you want the most perfect fitting ski boots then I'd wholeheartedly suggest a visit to see Colin Martin at Solutions 4feet. I was reccommended him by a ski instructor friend. www.solutions4feet.co.uk

Well in my quest to sort out my foot pain I took both of my pairs of snowboard boots to a local shop today that does proper boot fitting and ended up buying a new pair as it turns out my old ones are much too big, the pair I bought last year are two and a half sizes bigger than this new pair and felt massive when I tried them back on after the new ones.

The new boots, Salomon Launch:

And since the boots are so much smaller I needed smaller bindings as well so I've now ordered these Burton Mission 2014 bindings:

It will be my third season on these:

I've done seven seasons in my boots, so it might be time for a change.

I got myself this in the Snow & Rock sale this summer:

Mr E will be taking the same as last year, here he is ensuring it all still fits and works;

I'm still on hire gear (ski) until I get confident enough to at least buy boots.

Hi Paul, been a long time. Colin is a fantastic boot fitter you won't be disappointed.
I've got a month of skiing to look forward to this season beginning in 6 weeks so the boots will get a good workout. had two seasons out of my fantastic Rossi Z76 carbon skis and these will compliment them handsomely.
Hope all is well with the family. The Amps look fab...

They are fantastic. Super fast on piste and good in everything but deep powder off piste and that weird stuff you get in spring with a flat crust over soft ice powder.

Here's my trusty old Atomic Race II boots. Pretty rough now from the years of race training and various schools championship events. The liners are pretty shot now so I'm going to have to replace them soon. Thing is, they have sentimental value now as they've been with me on almost all my ski holidays and have some great memories getting a days off school to go race somewhere.

Dream pair of skis would be the all mountain Elan Amphibio 82 XTI Fusion. Not sure the student budget would stretch that far though and they dont ship to Britain!

I think I have finally given up on my old 20 yr old ski boots..... Rear entry ones! smile

SO... as a rough guide, getting these through Solutions4feet, how much over the basic price of the boots does it work out? I know that is a bit like 'how long is a piece of string?' but wondering how much to budget for?

If (eg) boots are a baisc list at £360, am I talking about £450 or £500 all in etc?

Thanks in advance.... beer

The cost was £750

Boots were £360
zipfit liners £200
Custom footbeds £150
Fitting charge £40

Fair bit of wonga for boots but I feel it was definitely worth it.

Bought these last year to replace my knackered Rossi B3's , wish i'd done it much sooner.
Decided on a Mammut/snowpulse airbag, handy to remove the airbag unit and use the rucksack for travel.
