Xterra - 7th / 8th September - anyone else going?
Discussion
Is anyone else attending or taking part, or any experience of last year's event?
I've signed up for two events this coming weekend. The first being the 6 hour mountain bike enduro. And should I feel good enough on the Sunday morning, the sprint distance tri!
I did the 12 hour Torq in Your Sleep Enduro a week ago and enjoyed it - especially as it was my first competitive mountain bike event. Has anyone any experience of the course? I used a hardtail on the Torq event and I was left feeling battered and sore by the end of it, mostly around my back and shoulder blades. I've a choice of using either of my bikes, which would you look to use?

As it's my first triathlon I thought it sensible to go for the sprint distance, especially given the ride the day before. I've only swum in open water twice before and I'm far more effective and comfortable at breast stroke so I'm likely to do that instead of crawl. No doubt you can tell, I'm not taking part to set any records, just as a taster event. Again, any tips or advice is appreciated.
Good luck to anyone else taking part.
