A friend of mine has just sent me this. Wondered if anyone on here is up for the challenge?

The Endure Mount Toubkal (Morocco) October 2013

The Event: Endure 6 Challenge

The Endure 6 Challenge is a ground-breaking set of events designed to raise awareness and funding for six different causes including Blue Ventures (science), David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (wildlife), Oxfam (humanity), Think Big with O2 (children & education), Renewable World (environment) and Walking With The Wounded (Health). Monies raised will be shared equally to each of the charities on the panel.

Between 2013 and 2016 we have scheduled up to 30 events across mountain, desert, jungle, ocean, freshwater and ice as well as galleries, auditoriums, parks and music venues. The first challenge will be held in Morocco this October.

The Challenge: The Endure Mount Toubkal (Morocco) October 2013

A six day expedition to climb the highest mountain in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal, standing at 4,167m. Whilst no mountaineering is required, the trek through the mountain range can be challenging, especially when trekking at higher altitude. The scenery is of course stunning and experiencing the way of life living in the mountains with the Berbers is very special.

Awards & Hall of Fame

For many just taking part is enough, but for others, it’s a chance to test their skills, determination and will in some of the most enduring, climates, terrains and environments on earth. Those who take part in the event will be celebrated in the Endure 6 Challenge Hall of Fame. There are ten awards in total including “Adventurer of the Year – awarded to the most daring of adventures through to “Team of the Year” - awarded to the team with all round ability, commitment, fundraising and endurance.

Individuals or Teams (5 Persons)

We are seeking either individuals or teams to take part in the Endure Mount Toubkal Challenge. It will be a filmed event as we are producing a documentary, so not only will the challenge be incredible fun for those involved, it’s also a good opportunity for teams to become a part of the production. For those teams entering from a company they can enter as Team ABC PLC or even Team DSWF. Their team names will be advertised in the production.

Cost & Fundraising (Excluding Flights & Personal Insurance, Includes Accommodation, Meals, Transfers), please see itinerary for full details and requirements:

Individuals registration price: £199

Individual entry price: £599

Individual fundraising target: minimum £2,500

Team registration price: £995

Team entry price: £2,799

Team fundraising target: £12,500 (monies raised will be shared equally to the six charities taking part by The Endure Foundation).

Please note there is only space for 6 teams or 30 individuals to take part. Spaces will be granted on a first come first served basis.

I climbed Mount Toubkal a few weeks ago on a trip organised by Exodus and enjoyed it very much.
This trip looks quite expensive in comparison.
Bear in mind that in October there may be snow towards the top requiring ice axes and crampons.

I wouldn't know about prices, ie what is expensive or not.... I have been working with Endure and they seem very professional though. Part of the entry includes fundraising into their charitable foundation = Also the company donates 10% to their foundation which shares that between 6 charities. They are really passionate about making a big difference not just a small token, in fact this is why they are doing it, so I guess that's why.

I would love to do something like this! don't have the balls or the stamina smile
