There's talk of Usain taking on Mo over 600m for charity. If they go for it and take it seriously who would you Back. I'd go for Mo if it happened.

Sounds like the race is closer to Bolt's normal distance than Farah's.

Unfair?

I guess you could argue that Mo runs that distance in every race, it's three times further than Usain races at. Mo shows a good turn of pace over the last 400m of a 5k race so I would back him.

Mo Farah would win that fairly easily I reckon...Bolt runs 400m in 45 sec, Farah in 50 sec. I read an article yesterday saying they thought 550m would be a good match up but 600m is too far for Bolt even though does run that distance in training. Look at the build of 400m runners and 800m runners....massive difference. Farah can basically run 600m at the same pace that he could run 400m.....he sprinted the last 500m in that 3000m on Sat.

Great idea though. If they did it over 500m they should get David Rudisha in too.

600m is far more suited to Mo than Usain.

Mo's recent 1500m place, combined with evidence of ~50s 400m speed indicates he he could run a world class 800m (around 1:45).

At various track meets I've seen 200m specialists (who also run in the 4 x 400) fill in an 800, cruising through 400m around 6-7 slower than they're capable of but in are pieces by 600m. It's simply not what their bodies are trained to do.

It's somewhere between 500 and 550m where things would become interesting.

A fit Rudisha would be well ahead of both in anything from 450m - 1km.

A good one would be Rudisha versus that 400m bloke from Grenada over 600m.

I don't know who would win. I would want Farah to win. Either way I would pay good money to watch it.

Kirani James, agree that would be a good race.

Bolt vs Farah <600m = Bolt
Bolt vs Farah >600m = Farah

Bolt has already run some sub 47s 400ms already but Mo can smash in that last lap in something like 52s after 4600m and I doubt Bolt could stick with that injection of pace and would suffer if the race progressed beyond 600m
