Hi golfers,

I've just taken up golf. I'm using my Dad's clubs but they are in pretty poor condition due to age/lack of use/abuse during house moves/etc. and I've seen this set on eBay and wondered whether I could get an opinion on whether you think they're good, awful, a rip off and so on.

Also, can anyone recommend a trolley to go with the bag in the listing below?

Thanks.

Probably not a bad starting point, the only things i'd suggest if you are a beginner would be to avoid trying to hit a driver and getting a 3 or 5 wood in the bag for off the tee as they will be much more forgiving as there is more loft and the shaft is not as long therefore more margin for error.

You may also want to add a sand wedge in there, the irons look like they would be forgiving and suit a new player.

Good luck.

Lovely - thank you. Another mate suggested the very same re: driver vs. 3 or 5 wood. I have both and a SW in my dad's clubs so will be able to use those for the time being.
