I recently tried a CP88 down at the range, I liked i so much, I had to go out and buy one.

So what do you get for your money?

Well, you get a nice black ABS plastic case, it's well built, and tough, it looks like it should protect your gun for years, it also has a tab to accept a padlock, that is a nice little touch.

Lets look inside the case, after removing the usual paperwork, we are faced with this.

You will find the gun, 2 magazines, and an allen key for adjusting the sights.

There is also plenty of room in there for a tin of pellets, and a couple of CO2 capsules, and the foam holds them very securely.

Now to the gun itself, it is on the smaller size (just like the real thing), but fills the hand nicely, and at 2lbin weight, and all metal construction, it is no lightweight.

Here we see it next to a tin of pellets for reference.

The slide lock is depressed to send the slide forwards, this allows insertion of the magazine, you will also see the good sized safety, this is ambidextrous.

Press the magazine release on the right hand side of the gun, and instead of the mag dropping, the left hand grip pops off, thid allows the loading of the CO2 capsule.

Turning the gun over, we see the other side of the ambidextrous safety, and some writing, but nothing ott like some the safety lecture some makes insist on putting on there guns.

Here we see a close uo of the safety, rear sight, and hammer, as you can see, the gun comes lubed and greased, but not overly so.

Slide open, and a quick look inside.

Looking at the front end, and we can see the barrel is recessed, and there is a fake 45cal barrel, complete with rifling, to add to the realistic looks.

One final shot, next to a Crosman 357 to show the size again.

So how does it shoot, well in a word, superbly.

The gun sits nicely in the hand, and the weight sits just right.

In double action, the trigger needs a firm pull, but not overly heavy, in single action, the blade moves a lot closer to your finger, and the trigger pull becomes sublime. But it is a pleasure to shoot in double or single action.

The magazine is easy to load, but make sure you push the pellets in so that they are flush with the magazine.

I use RWS flat head pellets, and at 10 yards they will kick a drinks can around a foot backwards on grass, so it has enough power for plinking or competitions.

One CO2 capsule will give 80 shots, when the ambient air temperature is 70F.

Overall this is a quality, well build pistol, and i would recommend it to anyone.

How much was it, used to shoot with one of these a lot when I was younger.

Can you get a suppressor for these? I know you can for the Beretta 92f, don't think I've ever seen one of theses with one though

That's a good price: click. Do you mind me asking from where?

Now the new gadget syndrome is wearing off, still happy with it?
