Olympic gold medallist Andrew Simpson has drowned after his catamaran capsized. Very sad.

Very sad indeed, a top chap by all accounts.

I'm a pretty competent sailer and have raced all manner of dinghy's and cat's ranging from Optimist's to Hurricane's and Cherub's, not much worries me about sailing but I've always thought the AC45's and 72's look bloody lethal and it was probably only a matter of time before someone got hurt.
