whilst I am really happy Sandy park has got a few games, I think it's a little small.
However its the largest we have down this way.
Was wondering that. Are these smaller venues being lined up for minnow games like venuzuela vs portugal, or something? At least they'll be full with great atmosphere. However its the largest we have down this way.
Despite wanting to get to Twickenham or Millenium for the big games, I quite fancy a trip to Brighton or Exeter for one of these games.
I wonder how easy/hard it's going to be to get tickets. Hopefully a bit better than the Olympics, but knowing the RFU it will be hopeless!
My brother asked me to get tickets for him, he wanted to take a colleague from Switzerland to watch a game, poor fellow lost it because nobody said anything about the large lads dressed as nurses and such at the game.
The lad from Switzerland just shook his head for the next few hours, walked around in a daze saying but they were dressed as women in daylight....
Happy days mad rugby crowds,

The last two world cups (France & NZ) have been played in nice weather mainly. Alot of the traveling fans were combining the world cup along with a great holiday lasting up to 2 months. Alot of which were camping.
The camping facility's were very close to the stadiums.
I wonder if the organisers will create camsites near enough for the supporters.
There were alot of free shuttle buses to take folks to stadiums from town centres also.
Lets hope the weather gods are with us in 2015.

Well thats my point really. Most campers will want to use public transport to get into the games and then return to thier camper vans and being ready to roll the next morning onto other group games.
I suppose i am thinking of overseas visitors really. As resident fans will just commute.
20,000 irish fans in campervans at the last WC.
The camsites were full and rugby clubs opened thier carparks nearly everywhere we went in NZ.

I know when the world cup is. Do you think everyone can afford to stay in hotels for 2 months ?
Nope but then I don't know anyone that gets two months holidays a year....apart from students but then it's term time so they should be studying away. The lack of campsites wasn't a problem last time the World Cup was in England.

The Amex at Brighton is an interesting choice....I suppose they wanted the South Coast to have some games.
Yes, I wondered why it was chosen, I guess it's just to spread it around the country, but why Brighton and not Portsmouth or Southampton. Maybe it's down to which venues offered the best financial incentive Not that I'm complaining as it's only 2 miles from my house!
