Given the fact that days 1-4 seem to be sold out for every ashes test match, what would be the best and cheapest way of somehow getting a ticket?

Obviously there will be ticket touts at the grounds, any indications what price range these tickets might be going for?

Is there an official or non official site for tickets trading/classifieds? I'm assuming viagogo will have some, but I want to make my search as broad as possible.

I've been trying and the only way would be to pay over the ticket prices.

Alternatively go to the ODI like I am :-)

Yes I have already given in to the fact that I will have to pay above what the original ticket prices were, I am not that phased by it. More what I am concerned about is paying as little as possible over the original price.

I got eight tickets for The Oval test....Surrey offered preferential allocations to members for eight tickets split over the first four days however you liked. So I signed up for membership at a cost of £180 and myself and my mates will split the £180 across the eight tickets.

Last year despite the ballot being oversubscribed Lords put extra tickets on sale for the SA test a few weeks before for all of the first fours days. Can't believe that will happen again but I'll be keeping an eye on my e-mail!

What is the process if you buy tickets for day 5 and there's no play on day 5? Refund or too bad?

Day 5 tickets are fairly cheap and still seem to be available at most grounds...
