Golfers,

Heading to Bicester tomorrow and leaving the other half to shop - thought there may be some nice courses around there.

Any golfing PH'ers around?

Not a golfer, but am local to that area. The nearest course is one at Kirtlington, about 4 miles from Bicester. They are always advertising on local radio, so you should be able to get a round in. Heythrop Park is also relatively local.

Sure you don't want to brave the hell of the Village instead?!

ETA, get there EARLY, especially if the weather is half decent (Bicester Village that is). On a busy day the queues can bring the area to a standstill.

bicester has a golf course, not good bad. Kirtlington also near again not too bad.

studley wood also near - nicer than both above

depends upon how much you want to pay for a round.

Friend of mine used to part own Magnolia Park in that general area. No opinion on the course but he owns an F355 which matters on this forum.

Thanks for the replies so far; will get googling and call a few courses and see about Sunday green fees. Agreed on the hell of the village, have been a few times with my wife and it never gets any better or more enjoyable.

Hence why I had this golf brainwave this morning. If anyone is keen for a hit let me know.

Went to Magnolia Park as they had a post-230pm twilight offer. Got there and it was so windy standing up was troublesome, so just went up to the practice area for a couple of hours and practice short game and hit a few balls on the range. Was great actually. But therefore have no idea about the course etc!

I am going to play this Sunday but somewhere closer to west London if anyone has any suggestions.
