Tipster I follow on Twitter, getyourtipsout, have tipped both Cappa Bleu and Rare Bob. I'll do a fiver on each I think.
National is for fun betting. Plenty of "easier" money to win at other meetings. Only done CAPPA BLEU as I follow mainly Welsh trainers. CAPPA has been trained throughout his career to win a National. My only other bet on the "lottery" will be a fun reverse forecast with Ruby and Kate Walsh. Good luck to you.

On His Own to Win.
Rare Bob to Place.
Disagree with people saying it is a lottery,it's simply a unique 40 runner handicap.
Yes, you'll need plenty of luck in running but the same principles apply, not every horse has equal chance and ability.
Good luck if you're having a bet.
It's a handicap race so theoretically equal chance Rare Bob to Place.

It is a lottery and it's utter carnage usually... Which is why it's not a race to take a serious punt on. Bung a few quid on a few horses and hope they don't get taken out by loose horses, knocked off, jump badly etc.
It's easy to guess which ones should be in the frame but there are just too many unknowns and unexpected events in a race this long with a field so large.
Stick a pin in it and have a laugh.
I'm having Joncol, Quiscover Fontaine and across the bay as my outsiders and Chicago Grey as my 'should have a hope unless st happens' punt.
Good luck.

Indeed as proven by the 100/1 winner a few years back. It's easy to guess which ones should be in the frame but there are just too many unknowns and unexpected events in a race this long with a field so large.

Single (EW)

1:45 Aintree
Ubak @ Guaranteed Price (28/1) 3@1/5
Stake £1.50
Won
£26.70
Also got £1.90 from the same bet on Utopie.
Lost £2.00 on Up and Go to win.
It all goes downhill from here...
75p e/w on Alderwood, Baily Green and Overturn in the next - was crappy odds even last night though - about 2 or 3 : 1.

Knowing next to fk all about racing I've done the usual thing - buy a paper, have a read and guess! I even messaged my mate on FB who's in the 'pool for some tips...
His tip - 'Don't gamble..!'
So in the end I went £2 (EW) on the following
Seabass @ Guaranteed Price (7/1)
On His Own @ Guaranteed Price (10/1)
Chicago Grey @ Guaranteed Price (12/1)
Treacle @ Guaranteed Price (33/1)
All good fun...
