I know not many of you surf but for those that do; just had two days of fun waves then woke up to total perfection this morning. Head plus high, reeling lefts and rights with just three of us out.

Big grins all round!

For anyone else that surfs, stick your reports here!

Eh?!

Phud; surfed it a few times. Full on wave but now a bit far ( recently moved back to the North coast of Cornwall)!

A mate (known as Crox) took this earlier - this was when the wind had really picked up. It was better earlier on!

That looks good, were they getting blown out much? Currently planning a trip to ericeira in the summer. Plan is to restore my Neville board and pay him a tribute out there. Was last there 11 years ago and the board is still strong, if a little yellow and cracked.
Miss my parents living on gwithian, need to get back down there more often.

I LOVE Ericeira; been there twice!

This was taken very nearby in fact:

Cracking waves there!

One of my old local a year or two back with me trying not to fall off:

And surferless:

Need to get some more up to date pics of the current beach - this was a few years ago; small floater.

Yeah, Ericeira is great, consistent breaks and short trips to some outrageous waves. My only issue at the moment is the board, looking at BA I just exceed their maximum size for checked surfboards, but can't see the same limitations on easyjet, so may be ok.

Hoping for two weeks then meeting the gf in Madrid for the weekend before flying back. Last trip there was two months long so not sure I'll have enough time to get my standard up again. Living in Sussex is taking its toll on my abilities.

One advantage of only surfing sub 6ft boards!

Utterly perfect surf this morning; you could rip the hell out of it. Lush (but chilly!)!

I'll keep on going despite the lack of surfers here...

A couple of pics of me on Wednesday that a mate took on his GoPro:

From the back into the morning sun (it's a "stunt" called a re-entry!)

Was fit enough and thin enough a few years ago,

Now with age and mainly because I am lazy is the larger board for me frown

Surfing is too much fun, enjoy large board but get envious of the small board days.

I take out this missus' 8ft Glide on small days - just about chuckable enough for the odd stunt or two. And SO easy to catch waves on!

Bit of video of the session; my mate got done great on board footage! The rest is me; last wave is best.
