I have been to Hemel, would say good for Intermediate, as I am, and was pretty empty. Certainly not over crowded with hippy snow boarders.

Must have been a weekend, and I do remember it was summer. Sorry cant be more specific.

I have been to MK quite a bit and I would say that there are usually more boarders than skiers. But, I wouldnt call the place boarder orientated, it does both equally. It's down to who turns up.

oh those pesky boarders, worse than tramps on skis.

we went to MK in the end.... middle slope was closed!!!!! argh!!!
slope to the left is the one with the bump near the top, for freestyle i assume, so you skied either side...
was surprisingly quiet, so got to go up and down almost with no delay.... arriving for 1130-12 seems to be the best time....
top of the slope is blue, bottom green, but i'm no expert..... will try hemel next....

They're pretty similar. Took my wife (then girlfriend) to MK to do a few lessons before we went on first skiing holiday six or seven years ago. Have subsequently taken m little boy to HH as it's nearer.

A few years between going to both but they seem pretty similar to me.

I like the variety of MK when all the slope is open - but they do close part at the bottom a lot to make money from sledging.

Only done Hemel once but it's great if you can be there during the day and the day rates are very reasonable.

Was supposed to go yesterday but had to work - grrrr!

Only 2 weeks until real mountains cloud9
