Help!

I am going skiing in March and need some goggles. As this is my first time skiing I do not want to spend a small fortune (£50ish would be about my maximum). Can I get away with some yellow/persimmon lenses if it is overcast and my regular prescription sunglasses and a retainer cord to hold them in place for when it is sunny. Or would one type of lens suit all conditions?

What do the spectacle wearing PH skiers recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Not a spectacle wearer myself but that sounds like a good plan. If you were going when it was very cold there are times when having goggles that work in bright sunshine can be a good thing but you should be fine with that.

I wear glasses and much prefer to use Prescription sun glasses than either contact lenses or goggles almost every time I ski.

You only really need goggles in very cold weather, or very bad light ( or, as I recently discovered, when you wear a helmet, this seems to work very well with goggles)
