I'm looking to get a new rifle.

It will mainly be used for hunting, but will also be used for HFT.

I have narrowed it down to two, the options are

BSA Ultra Tactical Single Shot

Or Air Arms S200

Which would you choose and why?

Of the two, S200, better reputation and lots of add on's available.

I'm going to get the S400, it really is light for its size.

Oops, I seem to have bought a BSA Ultra multishot.

It was an absolute bargain, and far too good to refuse, it is almost like new.

The best part is that a month of saving, and I should be able to buy the S400 also.

What calibre is it?

Nice!

I recently bought an early S410 Classic with walnut stock. Lovely bit of kit it is too. I should've gone PCP ages ago!

PS. englisharcher - I have a compound and a couple of recurve bows too wink

it looks like a carbine....never been a fan of the tatical look, how are you finding the weight, i prefer something with a bit of heft to it as it seems to lock on target better, some light guns waver on target
if you are still keen on the s400 look at rowen engineering on the web, they do some some real nice upgrade parts.
keep us posted.
p.s. what sort of grouping is the bsa producing being a multi-shot

The Ultra is very short, it's almost like its been bullpupped.

I will report back on groupings after I get to the range in the next few weeks.

As it is so short, the air reservoir is tiny, you only get 30-40 full power shots, but I can live with this for hunting purposes.

I will still need another gun for HFT, hence still going for an S400 too.

I was thinking about getting an Airgun and then these tts up here in Bonnie have decided to have them all requiring a license. Not sure if I can be fecked with the hassle. I'm getting more and more pissed off with this Snp lot. Interfering in everything these days.
