I like how you say 'proper' suggesting that our fake average wrestling is somehow more real and valid than the impressive american fake wrestling

Was part of growing up for me too. Used to enjoy Johnny Saint vs Steve Grey etc

Less of a fan of Giant Haystacks sitting on some ordinary sized fat bloke.

Loved it - was in utter disbelief when Nagasaki had his mask ripped off by Big Daddy in 1975 ...

I used to play sunday league football against Superstar Mal Sanders, when he fell over he used to flip up off of his back , Aggressive centre forward but fair, decent fellow too
