Six Nations 2013 Tickets
Discussion
You can get tickets but England ones are always the hardest to get hold of in my experience. I regularly go to all the Wales games and buy most tickets on the open market without ever having to pay more than face value.
As you asked about Wal v Eng, you can often get tickets for most Cardiff games from the WRU via ticketmaster, however, I have never managed to get the England game this way. they seem to be the most sought after....
Away games, you can always buy tickets direct from Scotland, France and Italy via their RFU equivalents. You can't do the same for England as far as I am aware.
If I had to choose where to go to watch Rugby for the 6 nations (and I love them all), my priority order of stadia to visit would look like:
1 Ireland : Awesome craic, second to none, new stadium not as nice as the old Lansdowne or even Croke park, but walkable and excellent pubs.
2 Wales : Best stadium imho, 30 seconds from pub to seat and absolutely nothing compares to town on a rugby day. Be prepared to see things you thought you would never see...
3 Scotland : great city, bit of a trek to the stadium and not a lot of pubs near by when you get there. Cold oh so cold.
Italy : Fantastic, different atmosphere to the others but definitely worth its place.
4 France : Poor atmosphere, mostly as the stadium is miles from anywhere and by the time you have left, all the fans have gone their separate ways. Not the same as Ire,Wales and Scotland for atmosphere at all.
5 England : different to them all. I personally don't like Twickers although the stadium itself is excellent. It is just a long way out in the middle of a residential area set up entirely for those other people who seem to have a better ticket than you. No pubs, very little atmosphere and the English make the worst winners and the worst losers (perhaps I am a little biased).....
If I was you and an England fan, try for Cardiff but don't get your hopes up as '13 is one of the years with only 2 Wales home games.
Go to Ireland with or without tickets. You can get packages including hotels and tickets (not always the cheapest way of doing things but you will get in).. this will be the most fun.

Sorry if you are aware of this, but on the whole, tickets for Home England matches are sold via an RFU network and not generally on the open market. I am sure you will pick them up on Ticketmaster, but usually at a premium price, or obviously via corporate entertainment routes.
To get hold of general entry tickets, they are predominantly sold via rugby clubs, to schools, police forces etc etc.
At my old (larger) rugby club, they were allocated x number of tickets for each game (I assume that this number was derived by the RFU based on the number of club members), and we had to enter a ballot/draw to get those tickets - sometimes you did, sometimes you didn't. Luckily some of our members were police officers, so their rugby club usually put buses on, and if you couldn't get club tickets, you could get one on the police bus. At my now local rugby club, which is a lot smaller and further from London, they generally don't use their allocation, and I have never failed to get the tickets I wanted. Those would be the routes I'd tap up if possible.
Just FYI, for non Autumn Tests/Six Nations matches at Twickenham (e.g. the old England vs. Argentina, Baa baas or premiership type matches) you can usually get them directly from Twickenham.

I've only been to Twickers (going 2013 to see England V Scotland), Millennium Stadium and of course Murryfield, and I would comment as followsAs you asked about Wal v Eng, you can often get tickets for most Cardiff games from the WRU via ticketmaster, however, I have never managed to get the England game this way. they seem to be the most sought after....

Edinburgh is great, get on a bus down to the stadium with evrebody else and have pre match bantter, then walk back into the centre with evreybody else and just hold up the traffic, just wrap up warm, as it will always be cold!
Millennium, yes the pubs are right on top of the stadium and I've always had a good time, but it is the only place I've also seen trouble.
Twickers, by far the best stadium but you do know where to have a drink, the problem is at least 50,000 other people are trying to find a place to drink as well. Twickenham is good but it will be very packed, (Cardiff does not have this problem as it has more pubs / bars). The best thing to do if you want a drink is see if you can get into the Stoop, (Harlequins ground) they some times even have tents in the car park.
I'd say Wales has the best stadium. Comfortable, ease of access and brilliant atmosphere. Never saw trouble when I was there. Regards tickets, I always just turned up and bought them last minute from the touts. Always loads about. I rarely paid more than a tenner for much more expensive tickets as the game is starting and the streets outside the stadium are then empty. Touts will still always have a handful. They'll ask for £20, you laugh and say you'll give them a tenner or watch it in the pub. Job jobbed.

I looked on french site, and they dont have any away games, only their home games which is Wales and Scotland.Away games, you can always buy tickets direct from Scotland, France and Italy via their RFU equivalents. You can't do the same for England as far as I am aware.
Then looked on the Italian RFU site, and although they have Twickenham tickets available, it seems you have to be Italian resident to buy them. To buy you need to register, and it asks you for your Italian Fiscal Code (ie social security number). I guess you could make one up, but then it says in the T&Cs that they will only post to addresses in Italy.
Did you find a way around this?

No pubs ? Admittedly there might not be any right next to the stadium but there are absolutely tons within a 10 or 15 min walk. That walk's actually perfect pre-match as you have your beer....stretch your legs and then lighten the load before you sit down. Just about make it to half time before needing to visit the gents again In fact the best way to deal with the st transport post match is to walk into Twickenham and get on it.....
