Right then our southern hemisphere chums, perhaps you can help me out. I was at the pub tonight and watched the game in the background, no sound or commentary, just watching. I dont know if it was some kind of demob happy game, end of term blues or what the commentators were saying about it but...

er can you all play like that when you come north?

That was quite possibly the worst defending Ive seen...by both teams...by top class teams. Ever. It was diabolical! Every try I saw was create by missed tackles, not just one but usually 2 and not counting the previous missed tackled in the previous phases!

Can someone tell me what was up?

I think it was a combination of circumstances.

The ABs had already won the championship.

Both squads are utterly knackered by the combination of travelling and consecutive high-intensity matches, so their concentration dropped.
