Hey everyone,

I am looking for some prescription running/cycling glasses. The requirements (if possible) are:

  • Interchangeable lenses, so I can alter the tint depending on how bright it is.
  • Friction > The predominant problem is that my normal glasses just fall off when running or cycling as soon as I look down. Some glasses that are very firmly stuck on would be good.
  • Price: Less than £100 if possible
I should add, I would like to use them during events in the winter, hence the need for them not to have heavy tinting.

Thanks,

M

I can help with two out of three - http://uk.oakley.com/store/products?N=151+128+312+...

I bought a pair of split jacket glasses with a full frame and two sets of lenses that you can change yourself. I've used them for leisure, regular 10k runs and mountain biking. They don't slip one little bit - excellent.

Now to get the prescription lenses, I would recommend you find a local independent that supplies oakley glasses - http://www.davidclulow.com/
They can order the frames and prescription lenses. If you order from oakley, you have to order the glasses and then lenses from an independent retailer anyway.

Certainly not within your specified budget but I couldn't find any alternatives. My eyesight is pretty good but I'm a bit short sighted. I have prescription glasses for driving and for work / spending all day looking at the computer and watching t.v. My local retailer didn't recommend prescription oakley lenses for me at the moment. I don't get on with contact lenses so I bought the glasses anyway with interchangeable lenses and if my eyesight gets worse then I know what to do.

Good luck
