Well, now the Olympics are gone I thought it was time to start talking about the rugby again. The pre-season friendlys are almost over and the season starts in anger in less than two weeks, I can't wait!

Tigers - injuries as usual and some new blood. (horrible new kit IMO)
Quins - The team to beat, but it will be more difficult than last year.
Saints - Will this be their year?
Sarries - zzzzzzzzz
Gloucs - Plenty of yellow cards with JH as captain.
Exeter - There or there abouts.
Worcs - Mid table.
Irish - Will they fall away again?
Sharks - Have they got the players?
Bath - Who knows?
Wasps - Look safe this year, but that's not saying much.
London-Oxford-Welsh - It's going to be a long season, especially with the tanned one on board.

Manu and the boys will sort him out.

Just read that Deano is back, good luck to him!

As a Bath fan, I'd just like some consistency. If they are consistently bad then at least the coaches and players have something to work from. If they are consistently good, hooray! The one-match-great-two-matches-rubbish thing of recent seasons means that nothing ever changes because everyone seems to think the performances are down to luck (good or bad).

I hope Henson's agent is well paid because he certainly seems to be able to get him decent contracts despite his muppetry.

Have Bath brought in any decent players over the summer to bolster the squad?

Horacio Agulla, from Tigers. (Not as a pensioner this time)

They have been a bit under strength recently, especially in the pack. Agulla is a great signing, but they have to secure the ball first! I'm glad he has found a club in the premiership.

Yeh, but he is not due back until October/November. As much as I disagree with the decision, that is quite a while. Good luck to him!

I'm glad Hawkins is on the mend.

As a Worcetser fan mid table obscurity would be fantastic. So long as relegation is not even a problem and we score more than 1 try a game....

And so it begins, predictions?

Exeter v sale - chiefs win
Gloucs v Saints - cherries win
Welsh v Tigers - Tigrs win (cricket score?)
Saracens v Irish - Sarries (but will Ashton score?)
Wasps v harlequins - Quins
Worcs v bath - No idea

As a Falcons fan (the Richards revolution) can I post in here? I doubt a Championship thread would get much action!

Also to Bath fans, Gary Gold is a legend and you've got a top class guy there, he nearly did the impossible with the Falcons. Look after him!

Last minute winning kick from Olly to grab it for Bath! Worrying already that Bath couldn't cross the try-line, so had to rely on Worcester transgressions and Olly's boot.

Here we go, tough one for Welsh. I think they'll get battered!

Falcons kick off in an hour against Bristol, that'll be fun!

Fair play to Welsh, I thought the score difference would be considerably bigger, but they coped pretty well. Good start to the season for Tigers, though. biggrin

So how do Wasps recover from the almighty shellacking of their 2nd half fkup?

Bugger.

Piss poor way to lose a rugby match that. A lot of promise in attack from Worcester though. Just need to get the eupport runners a little more atuned.

A wins a win ewenm...it's more than we've got.
