Now it is all over. Half a packet of chewits to the first person who can answer:

1. Which country took home the most golds and the number.

2. Which country took home the most medals in total and number.

Personally I think total medals measures sucess better than golds - which would put the UK behind Russia in the overall table.

Most golds, USA with 46.

Most medals, USA with 104.

I love chewits!

Has this got anything to do with most athletes haven't gone home yet?

So you mean team medals counted as individuals then?

Yep - so if there are 4 people in a boat they get 4 golds.

You just said first person to answer. Nothing about them being correct biggrin

I would guess the country taking the most "home" would be GBR. Presumably England.

Hmmmm, I have no idea!

I'd guess it'll still be USA as Olympic rules mean athletes who perform in heats all get medals regardless of if they feature in the final. I think USA would have had 6 medals for just the 4x100!

So, the correct answer is still the USA based in both cases having won team events (women's football, basketball and others) this has outweighed our multiple rowing and cycling medals unfortunately

The correct answer would be USA - xxxxxxx medals. Not just USA.

ETA I have no idea, but you can't ask the question if you don't know the answer
