Have been gripped with Olympic fever and feel it would be a shame to miss one of the free events.
The website's are proving trickky to establish where the ticketed area's are and aren't.

Any idea's?

Page 2 of this shows the ticketed areas as the grandstand at transition & lake/river side on the run into transition. Someone had told me all of Hyde park was ticketed, but this does not seem to be the case. Get down there early, I was down yesterday morning for the womens marathon & it was 4-5 deep all along the embankment 45 mins before race start. It's a shame this wasn't on at the weekend as i would love to be there as well.

Found this map which appears to be fairly clear.

I'm heading for South Carriage Drive as I suspect the area around Constitution Hill and Buck Palace will be swamped. The area around Hyde Park Corner looked busy for the womens arace too so I'll give that a miss.

Thanks for the advice - shall head down there as soon as I can. Should be a lot to see what with 7 laps on the bike and 4 on the run.
