Anyone watching the mens final? what has happened to Federer, never seen him play so badly.

But he is so calm, even when losing.

Everyone in the court and country willing him to lose may be spooking him - and Murray is playing his socks off.

Well done Andy, another Gold, a major confidence injection.

Still cant believe Federer, even when he is not playing well, he is never that bad.

Don't think some of you are giving Murray the praise he deserves.
He played some amazing shots and some great serves. Murray pushed Federer into a lot of bad returns.

Thats just me being sceptical. All credit to Andy, he did play well.

A bit like the women final yesterday, 6-0, 6-1, sharapova is not as bad as the score suggests. Serena is that good however.

let's be realistic:

Andy was on fire all tournament and I had no doubt he was going to win gold, and very glad I was too

but

Fed looked tired and his movement was awful, missing some truly easy put aways

but

it even if Fed had been fresh i do not think he was going to win this one, Murray playing brilliantly with the crowd 100% behind him (not something Fed is used to even at wimbledon) there was no way Fed was having this one

Hmmm I dont know about that. Federer is the king of cool and comebacks, been there don't that, Fed at 80% is better than Murray all day long, much as I wish he wasn't, no matter who is cheering for Andy, the man is a machine, not lost 3 sets to anyone in god knows how long.

But Andy won, so good on him. Lets see if he can do the same in a Grand Slam.

assuming you are talking about the last bit of my post, Murray H2H with Fed is competitive but just not on the big stages so he knows he can beat him add the home Olympic element and I think he would still have won even if Fed played a bit better
also Murrays game has def. got markedly better in the last 9-10 months, forehand looking much improved and serve %age getting there and perhaps even a little bit more pop on the 2nd serve
this gold might also be all the momentum he needs, i can really see him winning the US or Aus
