400 metre lady seemed a bit american. Still, it's better than all the South Africans have been scoring all the runs in the latest test match, including those playing for England!

i was quite amused that after the last few days, where in my opinion the british team have been fantastic, the male footballers go out on penalties.

Think of poor Kim Collins. He has been sent home for going to a hotel with his wife/trainer for some peace & quiet. Not allowed. Good old West Indian management. Knobs.

Did you really expect any other outcome ?

Although it wasn't a purely English team this time obviously.smile

My Olympic dissapointment will probably be the rejection of marriage to Jessica Ennissilly

My Olympic disappointment is similar to my Wimbledon one. Maria Sharapova seems to have misplaced my number and is unable to call me so I can console her. frown

The National Anthem sounds awful in my opinion. I find it hard to believe this is the best recording available.

Agreed, there's no 'na na na na na' bit in the middle. Doesn't matter really as the crowd has been drowning it out!

Also his team has 6 competitors and 9 officials---obviously over here on an expenses 'jolly'.

That was deliberate. The "na na na na" build up is a recent "popular" addition to the music and was never part of the original music of 250+ years ago. I quite like the harmonies - they're musically very interesting, and faithful to the centuries old second and third verses, which always used to be sung in parts after singing the first verse in unison smile

I am willing to bet that there is a lot more to this than him just staying at a hotel with his wife. in hte interview with Colin Murray and Kris Akabusi on five live yesterday, there seemed to be a whole host of other things that Collins was holding back from saying.
