As a more positive version of the worst Olympic presenter thread, who's the best?

I'm going to suggest it's either Jake Humphrey or Clare Balding.

Who interviewed Wills and Harry. She did a good job.

I like the cycling coverage team, Lineker has never grated, and now they've got rid of trevor Nelson, I'm finidng the commentry largely unobtrusive and informative at times.

I'm not a fan of hers but she's been excellent on the Swimming. She's obviously done a lot of research.

Claire Balding has been superb this week. Knowledgeable, funny, just generally very very good.

However.

Denise Lewis.........

Holy crap. She looks stunning.

Balding and Jake have done a cracking job, but a word in dispatches for the girl at Weymouth. She's been informative and keen. No idea who she is.

Matt Baker - "INCREDIBLE"
Yes, that's his vocabulary.

Since this is the positive thread my vote is for Clare Balding. Informed and accurate. Good work.

It's definitely between Jake Humphrey and Claire Balding for best presenter. As for experts there have been quite a few good ones, Mark Foster and Ian Thorpe were great in the swimming but for me it's Michael Johnson.

Gary Herbert is brilliant in the rowing I think....though a commentator not a presenter. His passion for the sport really shines through.....of course he has his own place Olympic History!

Hugh Porter is also very good in the cycling.

Another vote for Jake and Clare for me. What about radio? Five Live doing a good job all round for me and I like that Vassos bloke on the Chris Evans show, seems a very knowledgable chap.

+1

Was a funny moment earlier in the week round about the time that the Lithuanian lass won gold. Referring to the age of competitors, Mark Foster metioned that it certainly is no barrier and that he won, aged 38 - upon which Clare replied in a nanosecond "Oh, but you're amazing!" Not being a presenter who uses hyperbole or exaggeration nor the words incredible/unbelievable/amazing every 5 minutes, this did stand out somewhat!

Was this from a strictly sporting sense or was she thinking more of his stint on "Strictly" rofl

Clare Balding / Ian Thorpe combo has been both informative and (at times) hilarious this week.

Special mention must go to Bert de Clos who was UNBELIEVABLE! hehe

smile the poor lad's not really a media darling, is he?

I think I understand why they decided to get him to do it but he's looked SO ill at ease!
