Olympic Spectators & Photo ID
Discussion
This morning, on the train to work, Mrs Blib overheard people apparently talking about needing photo ID along with their tickets to get into the venues.
I've read up on this and all that I can see about this issue is that you need photo ID when you PICK UP tickets at the venue. Not when you turn up at the gates.
Did anyone need to show their photo id when presenting their tickets at the entrance? Or do you gain entrance in the same way as any other sporting event?
Thanks.

just showed the ticket. ID would just be if picking up tickets. We even had age-related tickets (kids pay their age) - no request for id. Check the venue guide on the 2012 website - all you need to know is there.
Thanks for that, Bluebarge. This will put Mrs. Blib's mind to rest.Just a reminder to check the long list of banned items that you can't take into the venues - includes cameras with long lenses (presumably unless you are an accredited photographer). I saw a bloke with an ordinary slr inside the venue, but any drainpipe zoom lenses may not pass muster.
