Liam Tancock - 100m Backstrone medal hope (WR @ 50m Backstroke)
Rebecca Adlington - 400 & 800m medal hope (Double Gold Medalist in Bejing)
Gemma Spofforth - 100 & 200m Backstroke (Decent chance of a medal)
Fran Halsall - 100m Freestyle (Decent chance of a medal)
David Davies - 1500 medal hope (not sure if he does this as well as open water 10km)
James Goddard - Backstroke and Medley - Outside shot
Hannah Miley - Outside shot at 400m medley
Jo Jackson - 400m Freestlye - won bronze in Bejing
Kerri -anne Payne - Mmmm... Mainly does 10km open water. But she might do something in the pool. Pretty sure she is out best looking swimmer by a fair margin smile

And the list you actually want to know about wink

Kerry Sutton - America
Natalie Coughlin - America
Federica Pellegrini - Italy

I think DD is only in for the 1500m isnt he? He lost selection for the open water.

Watch out for Fran, she is a monster in the pool, been in awesome form at times over the last 4 yrs.

Adlington is our stand-out medal hope.
Spofforth didn't qualify for the 200 back and I'd be surprised if she got a medal in the 100. Lizzie Simmonds is a better shout in the 200.
Halsall's best chance is in the 50 free IMO, IIRC she is fastest in the world this year.
Miley is more than an outside shot, she got silver in the 400IM last year in Shanghai.
Tancock has plenty to do in the 100 back, he's a pure 50 sprinter and there are a few very good 100 back specialists - Matt Grevers wasn't far off the WR at the US trials.
Sadly I think Davies is finished as far as medal hopes go. His time in the trials was quite a way off where he'd need to be for a medal and I think Dan Fogg beat him. Similarly for Jo Jackson in the 400 free.
Keri-Ann is only doing the 10k and hasn't been too impressive this year.
Goddard is very much an outside shot in the IMs - he's up against possibly the three best all-round swimmers of all time in Phelps, Lochte and Cseh.

Also:

Ellen Gandy - 200 fly - silver at last year's World's.
Michael Jamieson and Andrew Willis in the 200 breast - both reach final's at the World's last year.

Missed Aimee Willmott off the 400 IM, but she is a bit behind Miley so probably won't have a shot at medals. Would be nice to see her in a final though as I used to swim with her.

Goddard should go well in the IM, though he was always a backstroker and for some reasons either didn't enter the 200m Back in trials or missed out. David Davies... he's out for the count IMO. He moved to Lboro in 2007 I think and they've basically just flogged the lad to death. His original coach from wales thinks he's probably suffered permanent muscle damage (or at least damage that will take along time to heal), was reading about it on the BBC olympics app. He won't get anywhere near gold, not with that chinese lad (chinese or korean?) who broke Hackett's 10 yr old world record (and did a 54. for the final hundred, which is about an 11 on the absolutely daft scale). Adlington is the medal hope.... The others will most likely be finals with good finishes. Would like to see Tancock do the 100 back though, if he plays his cards right he should get a medal.

Obviously will be rooting for them all, really want to see them all do well... but the highlight is surely going to be Lochte vs phelps.
