That's Eton Manor (according to the Olympic Park map) so whatever is going on there.

Thanks. According to the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eton_Manor Those courts appear to be for the wheelchair tennis at the 2012 Summer Paralympics.

The dark blue with the pink surround at the back of the photo is Riverbank Arena - hockey venue

The smaller light blue ones at the front are Eton Manor, which online sources say is the location for temporary training pools for aquatic events - but they look more like the wheelchair tennis courts for the Paralympics, IMHO.

I wonder why they didn't just use Wimbledon again for the wheelchair tennis?

Grass + thin wheels + courts already used for two major tournaments + british weather = big bills.

Yep, I guess that’s the reason, but a 5,000-capacity "show court" isn’t cheap, and there seem to be no concrete plans to retain it as a tennis venue post-Olympics. According to Wiki, they’ll either relocate the hockey field there, or Leyton Orient Football Club moving in. Either of which, I can’t see those 5000 seats being retained. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eton_Manor
