So the great god of Mamon dictates we must play a five match series out of sequence against the current number 1 ODI side, The Crims

Warne is shooting his (gorgeous pouting) mouth of already

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/internati...

Hmm England in Arrogance Shocker, how original Shane - that's really hitting us where it hurts.

One assumes Captain Cook and his happy band will show these upstarts the truth about their team, but hopefully this will draw the Aussie Posters out of retirement.

Let's see if we can get to page two before JohnFM mentions "rest of the world" wink

I just hope our soap dodging mates are ready for a return to earth.

That's all for now.

JFM, Colonial etc care to join in

Just been up to Lord's for a pint in the pavilion and a stroll around the ground, it's looking good (as always).

I shall be there on Friday to witness the filthy crims being put their place. smile

Whilst I would rather we were playing the proper 5 day stuff, this series of matches is going to be a real test for us and on that basis I welcome it. We won't get it all our own way and we are in for a scrap so bring it on.

The 'Australian' team have a forrin coach, FFS.

As I continually bang on about - international sport should be one nation versus another nation.

Buying in talent (either players or coaches) is fine for club sport - but totally against the spirit of international sport.

And on that basis...

...aahm oot.

And the bullst begins....

Aus Vice Captain spouting off about not being able to understand Englands "balance" with 5 bowlers making it a long tail.

WTF is this guy talking about - Bres, Broad and Swanny can ALL bat so by my reckoning the tail starts at 10?

I haven't looked it up but it would be interesting to compare the ODI batting averages for each 'tail'...

I'll be more interested than I normally am in hit and giggle becuase there are a fair few Aussies players I haven't seen before....some of whom will be back for the next Ashes. Good article on the BBC website about the new faces

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/18569650

England's one day side is starting to have a settled look to it....be interested to see if the likes of Bairstow can give himself some confidence for the main event later in the summer. There is no truly destructive hitter who can really take the game away from the opposition now....England need to find one. Maybe Kieswetter is that man ? Certainly when he opened in the T20 World Cup that England won he looked very good so he has it in him.

I feel sure Kieswetter is destined to be a nearly man - hope I am wrong but he has been very inconsistent

Love him or hate him, Brett Lee is nearly 36 and bowling 87+ mph.

As a rickety ex fast bowler, I have to say that is good going.

Something about her reminds me of John Waynes pistols wink

Mind you she is still, lovely looking.

Anyway back to the cricket - Cummins goes for a few in his first over, England on the back foot here.

I will predict 263 runs.

Simon Hughes was saying on TMS that if England win this series 5-0 then england will be no 1 in the world in all formats of the game , never thought i would ever get close to seeing this
