I'd like to see England play rugby later this year but from the the RFU site it seems buying tickets is going to be hard:

http://www.rfu.com/Tickets/InternationalTickets.as...

Is there a trick I need to know, apart from joining the RFU or my local rugby club? Nothing on ebay at the moment.

Getting tickets to any senior England game is very difficult.
As you say, you can join a club and go into the ballot, join England Supporters, become a Debenture holder or watch Ebay in the couple of weeks before the game.

They were doing a promo on the first of the Autumn games, earlier in the year. Kids for a tenner I think.

Under normal circumstances, it's getting expensive. My 10 year Debentures were £7k each, 18 months ago and the match ticket is £95 each for the Grade A games. Add in your car parking/train/driver costs, some food and drinks, a programme etc etc.
I guess it depends on how much you go to see. Just realise that as a Debenture holder, you get all Senior games, plus some preferential on things like Varsity, Army vs Navy. However, if you only go to the touring game in the Autumn and the 6 Nations, some years you will only get 5 games that you're interested in.

Ye gads. Thanks for the pointers. It's client entertainment unfortunately so probably a one-off for me.

OK - agencies are your best bet then.

If you've got any mates with connections to rugby clubs in far flung parts of the country that can be a good way of getting tickets wink It's a bloody expensive day out...add in the cost of travel from say the West Country and you're looking at serious money for a day out. Mate of mine gets tickets from his club that he grew up playing for that way....if people don't want them because they can't afford it so he gets first refusal and club funds get a nice donation.

A word of warning as well since you mentioned ebay.

Don't buy tickets from there or from any auction sites. The RFU are st hot on it and will cancel any tickets they find on there. You'll turn up only to find someone else sitting in your seat which could be embarrassing.

There's a good chance that tickets for the Fiji game will go on general sale and be available through Ticketmaster but that won't be until later on around September/October time. The other 3 games won't go on general sale.

As others have said, if you don't know anyone in a club that can get you tickets, try the usual hospitality package type places.
