I have just pulled my old clubs out of hibernation after 3 years, and a few of them have gone rusty, is there any way to repair them?

I don't intend playing a round with them, I just want to get down the driving range and see if I can still play due to my bad back.

I will be buying new clubs if I can get back a bit of form.

Quick once over with a wire brush and they will be fine.

A lot of lob wedges are sold new without any finish on them and are designed to rust to give a softer feel so it wont harm any of your other clubs.

You would be better off swinging a broom handle in your back garden, rather than try to use them at a range...!

If you are serious, go to a local club, speak to the pro.. He will lend you a couple of demo clubs to try.
He'll try and make a sale.. If he is any good, even watch over your swing,if he can spare 5 minutes.

Your grips will be shagged as well if the clubs have been left that long. Nowt worse than slippery hard grips to damage your golf swing, because you have to hold on for dear life...

My2p worth.
