I'm a Rhino, though in truth I must confess to being a Batley Bulldog. Girlfriend and her little lad are season ticket holders at Headingley and I have started taking my daughter along too

Great weekend though, seeing the Pie-eaters and Bradford lose and Wire draw. Just a pity that Cas won cos I hate them.

Thought Wakefield looked good in the second half though. Ali had a good debut!

Currently toying with the idea of switching codes and going back to Shaw Cross too. Had enough of Rah rah rugby wink

I think we used to play against Shaw Cross.

I used to play for Orrell St James.

I used to support Workington Town when I was a kid and played League & Union (and 'murder ball' obviously!) at school but never 'soccer'. Sadly local players good enough to play professionally (rather than pro/am) have to leave the county to play in the Super League.

I think it's a more predictable game of attrition these days to be honest.

The right half, obviously, not that you'd share that POV wink.

You got the other bit wrong though - no association with HJ or Kitt Green.

Ah right! I thought everyone who lived in Wigan worked for H57??

I live on the side of the lump, but more south side that north.

Seem to recall Saints playing Batley in the challenge cup a while back. It may even have been around a decade ago.

In fact, 28/02/03 - Saints 38, Batley 12. http://www.saints.org.uk/saints.org.uk/home/viewpa... - sorry no Batley team info there.

My cousin played there around that time, some first team. He started at Featherstone and played at Hunslet, Batley, Donny and finished up at Oulton Raiders - retired after their grand final win over Thornhill at the Mount about 4 years ago

Grandad played for Leeds after the war, Uncle Dave played for Hunslet for years

Kind of runs in the blood wink
