I would love to be able to run with the dog, and do, but only in my wellies as it's well muddy round my way. Using proper trainers would just be a waste.
To save me the trouble of inventing Trainingtons, does anyone know of any low-maintenance, non-designery running footwear that I could hose down after?

Merrell's or similar is probably your best bit, if its that muddy that you think you need wellies, either find a new route or run without the dog

Unfortunately it is very muddy, I've looked at the shoes in Moleamol's link (thanks) and some look interesting, I think I might be looking for the impossible in a fully waterproof running shoe though.

How about some shoes from the link and waterproof socks? Some of those shoes are waterproof but splashes over the edge would ruin that.

My offroad running shoes are pretty tough - I just hose them down when I get home and stuff with newspaper. I use an Inov8 shoe for serious offroading and Nike Pegasus Trail for mixed terrain.
