'Outdoor pursuits' forums
Discussion
Hi All,
Watching that Gethin Jones programme last night, 'Adventurers guide to the UK' and has made me want to get to what i was like when i was 16 or so - i.e. out every weekend doing something in a mountain, cave, lake, river, sea - or whatever, namely canoeing, kayaking, climbing/abseiling, caving/pot-holing, gorge walking, canyoning, mountain biking etc.
I had a mate back then who worked at a college and got all the kit and use of a van/minibus for free as and when so we always had the latest good quality gear.
However, times changed. Met the wife and became a family man.
So, want to get the kids involved and get them into it as well. They can play football at school - want to get them interested in something a bit different.
Just wondering does anyone know of a website that covers a multitude of what could be considered 'outdoor pursuits' or 'adventure sports'. Can have a look generally at specific activity websites but wondering if there's some with a bit more crossover.
Any advice appreciated. cheers.
