Golf clubs online from USA

Has anyone on here bought golf clubs from America online via websites or ebay. Was having a looking at some callaway razr x irons on ebay from America. Brand new for about £200 less than in the UK. Guy has 99.9% feedback.

If it's all perfectly safe would you have to pay import tax?

If coming from the US then you will need to add VAT on, import duty and then pay the courier a bit more money as well, if I remember right.

It used to be the case that even when all this was added on you still got a great deal, not so much nowadays.

Just bear in mind that if something goes wrong you will have to ship back to the US, assuming the person selling them on Ebay has a Callaway account, if not it would get a bit tricky.
