His last international game is calling and after tomorrow he wont pull on that red shirt again. How much do people think he is going to be missed and just HOW good is he? Big fish/little pond or genuine world class superstar?

World class.

iRB player of the year

Highest try scorer for Wales by a huge margin

A game changer

A true finisher

Really last in the line for smaller wingers now it's all size and that means slower less dynamic it's a shame.

Gerald Davies gave him epic praise today stating he would have made it in the team of the golden era.

I'm going to miss seeing him in the red shirt, he's one of the few Welsh players that I think can genuinely claim to be world class. It'll be an interesting "Handing over the baton" ceremony tomorrow if the 5'8" Shane gets replaced by the 6'6" Alex Cuthbert for his first cap.

Yes he will be missed, but i think Wales could be on the platform of being the best team they have ever produced. Williams will be replaced and the welsh machine should roll on.
I really want Wales to be fantastic again,as they can bring the passion back to world rugby.
I got fed up telling the Kiwi people that they are not the only rugby nation on this planet.

Is this definite then? He announced his retirement during the WC, but there was some rumbling about him changing his mind and staying for the next given it's on 'home' soil.

Pity the rest of the squad didn't turn up.

I thought Ian Evans was quite good, but otherwise yes it was pretty drab.

A fitting end to his final game though.

Cheers Shane, your play shall definitely be missed.

Very pleased for him. Did himself credit today defensively and showed he isnt only a go forwards player. Great turn of pace and balance for the try. Just a shame Barnes was fit for the game. He was the difference today.

Rather emotional watching it in my local rugby club, almost had a tear when he scored that try.

Cracking player, will be missed in the red shirt!

"Shane Williams,

How many tries?

He was the only world class player in red yesterday. Is he going too early?

After the euphoria of the RWC the weaknesses of the side were only too apparent. They've got nearly four years to improve, but then so has everyone else.

It seemed to me a good team display but I was expecting more. The favet that Williams scored right at the death gave us all something to cheer about but in retrospect it was not the performance we all hoped for, was it.

It certainly looked like that yesterday in my opinion. Seems as though he is leaving at his peak.

But great for the Welsh team as a whole. This gives them four years to get someone new settled into his position in time for the next World Cup. And yes, I think he was probably thinking that.

Thing is with Shane I think he will deteriorate rather rapidly. Once that burst of pace starts to go or the agility ebbs a little he will not be able to get to the gaps his mind can see. Although still a fantastic player he would have another season max in him at the highest level.

Think its clear to say that the yellow card turned and decided the game. Aus. were clinical during that 10 mins and made us pay big style.

So answer now is really who will wear the no.11 shirt for the 6'rs and take us forward into the next WC?

I know Cuthbert was on the bench yest but just how good is he???? Good enough?
Maybe 1/2p going back to his natural position on the wing and a 15 being groomed? Martyn Thomas at the dragons has looked dangerous the last few times ive seen him?

Also to note that was pretty much full strength Oz side bs a Welsh sidewith 2nd choice second row third choice or lower at tight head third choice at scrum half ditto outside centre.

Anyway given that apart from the sin bin we did well against an Ozzie side of that quality.
Hard to say of they gave 100% as it was a friendly but to me they just don't exist in rugby.

So 6 nations France or Wales

Genuine World Class player. Didn't see the game yesterday but really fancied Wales to win....three tries during the sin bin ? Were Aussie's ruthless of Wales a bit off colour ?
