Blimey lads, thou art slipping! I go away for the weekend and nothing said about one of the great match ups in British sport.
Kauto v Denman v Long Run or any combination thereof should be on every sports fans calender. Highlighed.

Even more so when its a revenge job and classic veteran v young pretender. A proper rematch grudge match and Kauto gather Long Run a right old kicking. Eight lengths!! And he beat him on jumping, not ground speed! Who would have ever thought that?

A proper horse Kauto, absolute heart of a champion and possibly the best Ive seen.

I read that whilst imagining you tapping your shoulder and head at differing points during the text. smile

Kauto owes me for Cheltenham 2 years ago. Bugger.

Rumour has it they are sending him to the King George now on Boxing Day smile

A King George rematch is a different game to last Saturday, but what a race that will be!

Yep. The King George should be a cracker. Sam Waley-Cohen was very lucky to get away with not being banned for Boxing Day. I would much prefer Gerraghty to be riding Long Run to see how good he really is.

I've backed Kauto to win (9-2) and a reverse forecast with Master Minded (because I'm greedy) at the current prices the forecast would be worth about £25 for a pound. thumbup

9-2 are fair odds, I wonder what you would have got on Star for the KG before that 8 lengths whupping of Long Run?

I cant get too excited for the National or the Derby these days, but give me the Gold Cup and the King George and its woohoo all round smile

Great race from a once in a lifetime horse. It'll be a long time before a horse beats winning 5 out of 6 on the KG.

Not just 5 out of 6 but its the comebacks against the challenges from Denman and Long Run, esp after the hits Long Run put on him in last year's KG and GC and then pulling up in Punchestown.

This is a genuinely legendary horse.

Yippeee! Good old Kauto. Shame Master Minded didn't grab the forecast for me but hey-ho can't grumble at the prices I took on The Star over the last monthbounce

Still say that Long Run needs/needed a top notch jockey on board to show his true form.

So how about the Welsh Grand National Tomorrow? Cappa Bleu at 14-1 or good old Ballyfitz at 20-1

Bally.

Dicky...they reckon KS and LR are joint favs for the Gold Cup. What a race that will be. The last rematch and I suspect KS last race.

Just checked on Paddy Power. Long Run is fav at 5-2. Kauto 2nd fav at 7-2. I'm tempted to have a sneaky couple of quid on Weird Al at a huge 20-1

Thought a "general" thread on Horse racing might be an idea so just started one.
