SA vs Aus cricket - OMFG!
Discussion
Been following on cricinfo whilst at work - crazy!
Question for anyone watching - is the wicket helping the bowlers more than it should or is it just poor strokeplay?
Disappointed the crims haven't broken the all-time lowest test innings record. Strange thing is, they could declare now and stand a pretty good chance of winning!

There must be something in the pitch. has to be. But the Proteas have not applied themselves properly - neither in getting the last 2 crim wickets nor in their batting. I suspect that if a couple of proper batsmen knuckle down and see off the shine, a big score can be made.Question for anyone watching - is the wicket helping the bowlers more than it should or is it just poor strokeplay?

I am also bitterly disappointed that they have been allowed to slip past all sorts of lowest-ever records. I'd be ecstatic with a win for the Proteas though, even though it should have been a simple annihilation and it's turned into a spectacle.

I'd back SA to chase anything up to 250 here. Might even have a small bet on them.

Cheers - my mate in SA just txt me, he reckons it's a bit of both.
Just had a look on Will Hill for odds, they've suspended betting - anywhere else a flutter can be had?
Paddy power have SA at 1.83 and Aus at 1.9.Just had a look on Will Hill for odds, they've suspended betting - anywhere else a flutter can be had?
Betfair have SA 1.88 and Aus 2.12.
I'm going to stick 50 quid on the SA - should pay for some weekend drinks

Looks like i've truly done my conkers on this one , oh well lets hope for some explosions off of the wicket tomorrow morning ,
I feel so ashamed wishing for an Australia victory
The track was certainly doing a ( big ) bit even with a ball around 60 overs old.
Watson bowled very well in the saffers dig and then they came out on an absolute mission.
I've said it more than once and it's worth repeating, P. Hughes does not belong at 1st grade let alone 1st class level.
Still very much game on if we get a couple early.
Just to balance the equation a bit, you guys have had some moments as well.
1. 45 v Australia, Sydney (1887)
2. 46 v West Indies, Port of Spain (1994)
3. 51 v West Indies, Kingston (2009)
And was there not a minor moment of shame against the cloggies or someone just recently in a limited overs match.

But we only follow those who have gone before.
1964 brought the Netherlands first victory against a Test-playing nation, with a 3 wicket win over the Australian team.[2] They were rewarded with associate membership of the ICC two years later.[9]
