Anyone know where I can buy a 175g frisbee before the weekend so my youngest can take it back to uni after a visit home?

He's just started playing Ultimate Frisbee and having looked up what the hell that is it looks WAY COOL!

Not sure my knees/back/legs/arms etc are up to the job any more though.

I am based in Covent Garden but visiting Croydon on Thursday and the city tomorrow if that helps.

Good call on Lookfly. Amazon next day is expensive but as a last resort.

For some reason I thought I'd be able to get one easily.

Hamleys don't list them and to be honest, we are pretty short of sports shops in central london.

(those chavtastic sports soccer places don't count)

It has to be 175g to meet the rules of Ultimate (apparently!)

Have you tried all those mountaineering shops in covent garden?, they often have random outdoor toys in the shop. i am sure i have seen frisbees and the like in there.

This is the best sports shop I know in London

http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/1292/2525.p...

It's in Swiss Cottage so about 10 mins from Central London on the Jubilee Line. I'd be amazed if they don't have one.

For future reference it's just not possible to find one in London.

I resorted to Google and wished I hadn't bothered trying anywhere else.

Who don't sell Frisbees!

Besides, it's awful in there!

IIRC there was a weird kite sort of shop in covent garden on or near Neat street. THey sold them - but I have not been there for a year or more.

You could've tried Oddballs in Camden, they sell frisbees smile

The kite shop in Covent Garden is now a Croc shop!

I did think about Oddballs but couldn't get to Camden in time and I know for certain Lilywhites don't have Frisbees as I took a deep breath and went there.

Anyway, found a brilliant company on line who took an order over the phone and next day delivered them to me. I bought 2, and have thrown both of them over the fence already! I think frisbees these days don't steer like they did in the 70's!

It's not a proper sports shop....especially after Mike Ashley got his hands on it. There's a sports shop in NYC called Paragon Sports.....which is a huge proper sports shop, London is crying out for one.

If I had £10mil sitting around I'd open one.

Hi, the OP was clearly a long time ago, but given this site is the first google result for "where to buy frisbee central London" it's worth confirming that yes Cotswald on 8 Southampton Street in Covent Garden sells frisbees. They had a 175g ultimate frisbee and a small aerobie "squidgie disc".

Good lord. I had forgotten about this thread. By a bizarre twist of the world only yesterday did I find one of the 2 frisbees I bought behind a wardrobe in as new condition.

Funny old world.
