I saw one of these in one of my local gun shops today, it's a lovely old thing, fixed chokes: full and 1/2.

Anyone know anything about them? Was "keenly" priced... No idea how old it is, googling reveals a lot of italian pages but not much in english.

Cheers

Have you had a look on guntrader for a comparison?
I often do that to compare specs available per model.

Cheers, it wasn't so much the cost i was interested in - it was cheap for a beretta (!), just any general info on the gun or any reviews.

Very little (in English) on t'interweb about it so i assumed it must be reasonably old.

I've got a Beretta 686, a Hatsan Escort rough shooting gun and was looking for a second clay gun for when I've got friends round. Actually, just bought a Miroku 7000 from a different dealer and I'm very pleased with it smile

Quite fancy a trap gun too, I must admit, hence the interest in that Beretta...

How about opening the pages in Google translate? That may be of some help to you?

Hi had a 686 trap.
Higher comb to make you keep down.
Wider rib than a sporter.
Is it MC or fixed?

Hi

I believe that in it's time it was quite a highly rated gun. Chances are that it's from the mid 70s but as with all Italian guns it's quite easy to determine the year of manufacture, see here http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=73...

Parts will be as rare as hen's teeth if there's anything wrong with it, given that it predates the 680 series any bits will probably have to be made from scratch. You could always use this to drive the price down, though given that these guns were designed to fire 32g shells if it's had little use then with modern loads it'll probably last forever.
Best regards
