Hi,

I'm working on something just now, but could do with some help with UK Athletics competitors names.

Would you guys be able to list as many people as you know who you think will be competing in next year's Olympics (only Athletics though)?

I don't follow athletics unfortunately, and could really do with some help.

Thanks in advance wink

If you wait until the beginning of next week the teams for this year's world championships will have been selected. It's the trials this weekend. That should give you a fair idea of who is aiming for the Olympics.

Edit: another source - look at the teams that went to the Commonwealth Games and European Championships in 2010. Also, look at which athletes are Lottery-funded on the UKA website - they should be our medal and top-8 chances (in theory).

The actual team won't be selected until July 2012.

Most of the people Pablo mentions do have Twitter accounts - I follow a few of them.

If you can get to the trials next week in Birmingham it may prove very beenficial but remember its the world championships in a month so they may well be pre-occupied with other things if you go via twitter.... i'm sure some will help if your request is sensible, the few i have met are a credit to their sport and UKA.

Broke the British discus record last week. And he is not yet 20
Abdul Buhari and Brett Morse are also distinct possibilities in the discus.
