Pool 1: Munster, Northampton, Scarlets, Castres
Pool 2: Cardiff Blues, London Irish, Edinburgh, Racing Metro
Pool 3: Leinster, Bath, Glasgow, Montpellier
Pool 4: Leicester, Clermont, Ulster, Aironi
Pool 5: Biarritz, Ospreys, Saracens, Treviso
Pool 6: Toulouse, Harlequins, Gloucester, Connacht

From a Welsh perspective: Blues should really qualify from that group, no excuses. It looks tougher for the Ospreys but if they put on a good show against Biarritz then they might be ok, Scarlets look screwed already.

Fook me, Pool 1, Group of death or what?!!!

Might well be Saints and Castre from that group.

Looks like my beloved Saracens have their work cut out. No easy pools here but I'd rather be in London Irish's shoes.

Scrap that I was thinking of the wrong group I meant bath's shoes. Leinster would be a handful though.

Now that the RWC is almost at an end I suppose this is the next big tournament. Anyone else looking forward to it?

Always look forward to HC games - the best club competition that's ever been IMO.
I'd much prefer to win this than the league - and I feel Leicester should be in with a good chance this year, as long as the games don't clash with the Six Nations.

For me, the EC sums up what is all good in rugby - the atmosphere changes for the better, is more electric, when the Oirish and French fans visit Welford Road.
Can't wait!

For those of us who had fun with the RWC predictions pool, I've also started a Heineken Cup one. I've invited everyone from the last pool but for those who didn't know about it:

Not long to go if anyone else wants to join.

Not a bad first weekend. Sarries and Munster looking good, Tigers got a win, cracking last kick from Sexton!

Didnt realise only 3 of us in it.

Have to laugh though, looks like me and Sym had similar picks and we were equally st!

After the friday matches I was in the top 3% on all of Sportguru biggrin

Now at about 50% accuracy frown But at least the Blues won, Welsh wins away in France aren't all that common.

One of the great things about the HC is the results are not all done and dusted before the games start.

I just tried joining the pool (a bit late I know, but I'd forgotten about it), but it won't let me join as it says the tournament is nearing completion. There's only been 1 round so far, FFS! frown
