Looks like Jack Warner (dodgy b*st*rd) and Hammam have been charged with offering bribes for votes. This could put off the Presidential election as well.

Popcorn anyone?

The Panorama programme on Monday night was an eye opener.

I can't believe the lack of governance in such a powerful organisation. Scary.

Individual countries' F.A.'s need to take a stand by boycotting FIFA competitions until changes are made to provide total transparency in everything FIFA does.

Sepp Blatter said:
Fifa does not need a revolution. What Fifa needs is iron clad laws that are implemented forcefully ...

When a Swiss farmer's neighbour has a cow while he has none, the less fortunate farmer will work twice as hard so that one day he can buy a cow as well.

When another farmer, elsewhere, on an island, say, has no cow but his neighbour does, that farmer will kill the neighbour's cow out of sheer malice. I'd rather be a Swiss farmer, like it or not.
Nice bit of casual racism there Sepp. Is there any solution apart from nuke the fecking lot of them and start again?

Simple really; England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Brazil and Argentia pull out of FIFA and set up their own organisation. Any other countries are welcome to join. Create their own football tournament with TV rights sold to SKY etc. Introdcue fking goal-line technology! Obviously clubs won't be able to play in Europa/CL - so top divisions in those countries that have left can create their own competitions too.

See how long UEFA/FIFA last with no English, Spanish, German or Italian clubs in CL and none of the above playing in the World Cup.

Absolutely agree. It was effectively done here when the FA established the premiership as a breakaway from the football league. Although that was for commercial reasons, there is no reason why FIFA shouldnt be sidelined and the world powers of football boycott them and start again.

Please get on with it.

Everyone knew Warner and Blatter where bent. Not exactly ground breaking news is it. I have no faith appropriate action will be taken either.

I'm not a big football fan. Rugby (Union of course) is my game. However, I've been following the revelations - that's if something everyone knew anyway can be a revelation - and I have been more than surprised, stunned really, about its lack of governance and checks. I also follow F1 so it should really come as now surprise, but this is football, what some people call - incorrectly - the national game.

The conversation at our rugby club often revolves around how poorly run Union is. Looking back, we were way off beam. How can it get that way? With that level of corruption there is no way it can be resolved. It needs to be destroyed and something less bent - i.e. anything - put in its place.

Whether Blatter is or is not part of it, if he is in charge when, if what everyone says is true, it is as bent as it is then he is culpable as he hasn't done his job effectively.

There is no 'whether' where Blatter is concerned, he is firmly at the root of FIFA corruption.

Blatter is as bent as Dale Winton.

Hehe, that isnt casual racism for a Swiss.

Trust me, their casual racism is a lot lot worse than that. I love it, it means Swiss Air give me priority pass for security queues if Brum airport is being particularly Brumistan. The Swiss dont do fair, they are completely and utterly biased towards whatever they want to be and they dont give a damn whether anybody else likes it or not. Its about how you work the system in your favour with them.

..and subsequently suspended wink To be honest I am fairly sure most of them were at it and it just got completely out of hand.

Corrupt officials and cheaters in sports should be dealt with severely as they just ruin the whole bloody thing.
