Whilst some may think Wembley gives Utd an advantage I just can't see it. If anything Barca will come hyped up feeling that they are in the Lions den and as such they're backs are to the wall.

I just don't know how United are going to 'press' a team that doesn't really give the ball away.

Still, Arsenal & Inter have beaten them...

As an Englishman I'd like to see Utd triumph but as realist its 3-1 to Barca for me.

I have a feeling United will win, can't say why or how but hopefully I am right (as a neutral Country city fan)

As a united fan I want us to win

As a football fan and (sometime) realist - hmmmmm

But having seen some seriously crazy results from all teams and leagues over the years and not forgetting '99 from ourselves, anything can happen, it's why I love it

Barcelona all the way which I say with regret as I would like a British club to win.
Having seen the way they keep the ball and play with the opposition, I really can only see 1 winner. Fergie is going to have to have something good up his sleeve but he is a master tactician and if the extra 6 minutes are needed at the end of full time, then Fergie seems to know how to get them

I have to honestly nail my colours to the mast here. I cheered Utd on in the Roo Bar back in '99. getmecoat

However, I'll be shouting for Barca come Saturday. Can't see 'home' advantage being any sort of an advantage either tbh, given the ticket allocations for the final (ie likely to be 30k Utd fans, 30k Barca and 30k UEFA hangers on!).

We will win, just a question of by what scoreline.

A repeat of the battering we gave Benfica, the masterclass against Bayern or outsmarting Chelsea.

Barca aren't all they cracked up to be player!

I'd normally put money on Man U to win, but given the opponents here I can't see it happening. They might be best trying a Holland 2010 world cup final approach!

They'll hurtle out of the traps VERY quick - like they did against Chelsea and try and close down as much as possible and put the Barca players under pressure ...

But this Barcelona team are unlike any team seen for a long time - or maybe even ever. They just don't give the ball away - and such is their movement without the ball they will pass round you, through you, alongside you, whatever. And when they haven't got the ball, they chase and hassle every bit as well as Man Utd do. Most teams drop off when Utd have the ball for fear of getting too many pleasyers the wrong side of the ball - that doesn't worry barcalona. They can break at speed as well - and well, Messi - can score anytime ...

Vidic will most likely get sent off at some point and United will lose like they did before - 2-0.

If Arsenal had hardly any of the ball and Real Madrdi the same - I can't see Man Utd getting any either. They have good players who hassle and whatever, but Barcelona ARE on another level - and have been all year.

I expect Barca to win in the possession stats, as they are master passers, it's how penetrative they can be against one of Europe's best defences that's the question?

As a United fan I am optimistic that we can win, of course. It will be difficult, but if we can play higher up the pitch and frustrate Barca by breaking their passing game down, get the ball wide and get Hernandez/Rooney in goal poaching positions we can win.

Other than perhaps his first title triumph after so long without one and knocking Liverpool of their perch ( smile ), a win against this fantastic Barca team could well be Sir Alex' greatest achievement. smile

I can't wait, just wish I had been successful in getting a sensibly priced ticket, so I could have gone to the game. Instead of having to let some twerp from UEFA take my place. irked

63% Barca/37% United to date in the poll. Get your money on a United win! wink

William Hill currently have it as:

At 90 minutes

Barcelona 21/20 (almost Evens)
Man Utd 3/1
Draw 21/10 (almost 2/1)

Utd CAN win - after all, there are only two teams in it.

How it pans out is the fascinating thing. But Utd have to keep the ball and this Utd team are NOT as good as previous ones at doing it.

Barca will keep the ball all night ... ill-discipline could cost Utd.

If the Barcelona players decide to play and play effectively by getting shots on target instead of having overall percentage they will win.
If Man U defend well this will frustrate Barca and then it is anybodys taking.
Barca like to play most of their posession about the 30 yard mark away from the oppositions goal so if Man U defend well and not too deep, like Real did really well in the Copa del Rey then Man U will have a chance.
I'll be rooting for Barca tho and hope they annialate Man U.

Hate to be unpatriotic here but I hope they don't

2 reasons for this. The first being that I would rather see anyone win than old fire engine face, and the secong being that this would only paper over the cracks of the "best league in the world" mentality

They won the league this year because they weren't as bad as the rest of them rather than being better than them (if you can see the rather muddled distinction)

I cant stand Barca's constant play acting and whingeing to the referee. I know both of these are endemic across the board in football these days but the spanish clubs seem to me to be the worst.

Also i cant help but cheer the underdog, and its not often you say that with any truth about Man U !

I hope Man U win, but realistically it should be Barca's game... We'll see, I shall be glued to it thats a fact.

I've seen barca play a few times and normally they're much better than the ste they put up against RM. i think with the mixture of the opposition and the event got the better of them.

last year's final they were sublime - not a single piece of acting at all.

Barca to win.
I don't buy the "I'm English so I want the English team to win" ethos.
I hate Utd 364 days a year why should Saturday be any different?
