scrappy game.....too much ref involvement.
NZ looked rusty.
England pack looked strong, fast and up for the game - Will Stewart and Chandler Cunningham-South stood out for me.
In general defenses were on top with kicking for position the tactic of choice - pity that the kicking was mainly poor.
Game could have gone either way to be fair.

I really boobed - decided to spring for 1 month NOW TV... never again.
- doent like my van, so have to disable that
- doesn't work on my TV for some poxy reason
- doesn't work on my laptop
Luckily it DOES work on my tablet, which I can't cast to my TV but at least I can watch it.
- back to the negatives though, it's only playing what currently showing on Sky Sports, very little choice of catch-up. Luckily the England match was on right after the French but what a ball-ache, next time SS for a month
Anywho wrt the 2 games.. the frogs look very handy, especially st scrum time for what is a development/junior team (their 14 scored a cracking try!)
We made a decent fist of things and, had all the kicks gone over, could've won - that said NZ monstered us in the scrum, which is worrying, and showed enough attacking intent to deserve the narrow win

Eng were a lot better than I expected. In general I think that bodes well over the next cycle. I’m a bit concerned about our continued lack of ability to generate scrum dominance…getting bossed in the scrum by NZ? Seriously??! I don’t care how illegal they may or may not be attempting to scrum, you accept it and beast them out!! England need to develop that ABC gnarlyness again if we want to take the final step, you will always lose crunch matches if you don’t have that. Always.
All Blacks games down this end of NZ are rare enough that it was good to go to one in person (and exchange some friendly banter with England supporters of course). The seats in that stadium are built for small children though, never a very comfortable experience!
Agree with most of the other comments - AB's are always a bit wobbly their first game of the season so I didn't expect them to be at their best, especially being first game with a new coach as well. But they did just enough, it was close enough that it could have gone either way.
Neither team impressed much really, seemed to be a lot of handling errors and fairly aimless kicking away possession.
No doubt they will sharpen up for the next one.

Watching on Sky the crowd noise was deafening and the commentary was virtually inaudible.
That's what it was like inside the stadium, so I guess you got an authentic broadcast! Especially during the NZ national anthem, you could barely hear the performer over the crowd singing and when I could hear her it sounded like she was having trouble hearing her own foldback sound over the crowd as well.

Is the booing of the visiting kicker normal or was it a special treat?
That never used to happen, I don't know where it has come from! Maybe copied from Australia?I didn't join in, its not the Kiwi way to boo the opposition unless they've done something specific to deserve it.

I’m tempted to say that this is spectacularly stupid but then maybe he’s just the mug that got caught. How prevalent or otherwise do people think performance enhancing drugs are in top flight rugby?
