I wish that the England football team played with half the energy and skill that Jack Draper did.

Andy Murray out of Wimbledon and probably the Olympics after having surgery on a spinal cyst. For all his struggles to get fit, looks like that’s it. A pity but time has caught up with him.
Djokovic 50/50, so it really is time for the new guard.

Well done the girls; Katie Boulter then Harriet Dart then Emma Raducanu all won each against tough opponents today at Eastbourne.

EDIT; And well done to 15 yo Hannah Klugman in Wimbledon qualifying - one more match and she is through to the main draw.

I was astonished when I heard that but my wife (who loves tennis) says it's because when she won the US Open mot of the top players were out because of Covid restrictions.

That's not correct, there were many top seeded players in the tournament including former and future world number 1's, they even had spectators at this event as normal.

I guess they could not have been ranked higher higher than 10th at the time.

No, it’s just that ER didn’t play them as they were knocked out by others before ER got to the final.

Clearly not what he was hoping for, but perhaps a good way to continue beyond this year?

Can't see it... I think when he's done after the Olympics then that's it.

I think he's already said he wants to retire after Wimbledon and the Olympics.
