Again, huh?

as you do on NPE, from the few times i have unfortunately browsed there when sitting on the throne during a particularly long bowl movement, i have somehow picked up on your user name, posting short pointless comments with no attempt at cogent thought or critical thinking to the argument in question, it comes across as somewhat moronic. Just short vacuous disagreeable platitudes.

So stating facts and highlighting successful women sports that stand on their own two feet and offer a desirable product vs. those that are artificial constructs and have a long way to go is being a dinosaur? wtf are you talking about?! please either try to articulate why you feel that way about the topic being commented on or not bother, as you appear a tad bitter that not everyone thinks everything is brilliant or agrees with you somewhat sheltered and naïve student union world view.

Anyhoo i wish you a merry christmas and prosperous new year.

Or perhaps for you it should be happy holidays as the former may trigger you... wink
Classy..
They still allows trolls here i see!

Never change.

Very true, 1962 was the last time a F1 team won the team of the year award. Its astounding given how successful British F1 teams have been over the decades

What anthem do they play on the podium for the Red Bull team?

For the majority of the general public, F1 is all about the driver, they don't see it as a team sport.

It's that time again, I think it's had it's day the BBC are showing it on a Tuesday so not even prime time TV

https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/ce328g87g9vo.am...

At least they are recognising Mark Cavendish

Not sure who I will vote for this year. Being a Cricket follower and originally from Yorkshire I should vote for Joe Root. I agree the show has lost it's prestige over the years.

Hmm. Now hold on a bit, to the chap who asked: its not a very inspiring list is it?...well, who else do you want?

Olympic 800m champion
Greatest English batsman and one of the greatest the world has seen who had a superb year
Olympic Tri champion, a bronze in the relay and I think also won the World Series
One of the biggest players in the world at the biggest club in the world who shone on the European club stage and the world stage
I think the most decorated Paraolympian of all time? She won more this summer. Across multiple sports. Same age as Cav? And won a bunch post motherhood.

Unfortunately you can't have Marchand on there, Dupont, LeBron, Pog, Biles, Mondo or Ledecky. Who else do you bloody want?? There are no tennis stars anymore, the golden crew are all retiring. Golfers...exactly. Lewis aint been Lewis for the past Cpl of yrs, Max prefers to be invisible outside of the sport. Mahomes and Ohtani are the only other guys I can think of. All of whom can compete for overseas person.

I wasn’t looking at any overseas people so not sure why you listed them. Regardless, the list is still uninspiring, and no, I can’t think of any others I’d rather see in there - I guess, this year, I haven’t found sport that inspiring, and for the two biggest names (to me) on that list, I might say their nominations are based more on what they’ve achieved in the past rather than this year (Root and Storey). Bellingham seems to be going through a don’t you know who I am phase regarding the national side since joining Real, and as for the darts player - a tubby bloke chucking pins at a board?

I doubt many people outside of athletics will be that inspired by a runner and triathlete (or will even have heard of them) so what do we have left? Sorry, I’ll stick with my opinion that it’s not an inspiring list - certainly no-one’s achievements inspire as much as blind comedian Chris McCausland winning Strictly this year (yes, I am being serious, I find him a more inspiring person than any of the sports people listed).

I did wonder why BBC have put it on a Tuesday, i guess it's because they don't really show much sport these days..

Cricket is the only sport represented that I follow, so I’ve voted for Joe Root.
The days when we had a strong motor racing representation in SPOTY are long gone unfortunately probably because the BBC doesn’t do real sport anymore. Merely a few games hehe

How many pints and kebabs you gotta eat to be Luke Littler?

Alex Yee the only one there for me.
